Thinking About the New School Year

I'm thinking about school, ok I never stopped! This year I'm hoping to have a Kidblog component to our year. It's a safe place where the students can blog and share privately with their parents. Thank you to my wonderful parents and all of the parents of our sweet school. Not quite the ending we were anticipating but you all did such an amazing job to help us make it happy! Im posting this on Prairiedale Rocks site as well. Prairiedalers 4 evah!!!!! And I'm thankful to say I was able to secure a primary position at Sinkut View for the fall. YEAH!!!! Hopefully it will be in the K/1. And to my sweeties that are moving on, please know I will be thinking of you but I know you will rock!!!!! Best of luck and thanks to all!

A Peek into our First Days of K 2013

We have had lots of fun getting to know each other these first few days, first in small groups and now as a whole group. We hope you enjoy taking a peek into our Kindergarten world at Prairiedale!

Time for School 2013

Welcome to a brand new year in Kindergarten! I'll be sending out the schedule shortly as well as another copy of the school supply list. The first day of Kindergarten is Thursday, September 5. For the first 3 days of school, group one will be attending the morning session. The morning session will run from 9:00a.m. until 11:30a.m. The bus will be available in the morning for those wanting to take the bus. Unfortunately, the bus will not be running at 11:30 so you will have to pick your child up at 11:30. Group two will be attending the afternoon session from 12:45 p.m. – 2:50 p.m. Your child will be able to take the bus home but you will have to bring your child to school for 12:45. The following 3 days, group one will attend in the afternoon and group two will attend in the morning. The first full day for both groups to attend together will be Friday, September 13, 2013. Group one: Xander, Lincoln, Brayten, Madison, Noah, McKenna, Ashton, Dyllan,and Lexi. Group two: Benjamin, Eli, Halle, Hayden, Kale, Dawson, Ariana, Danika, and Taylor. See you soon!!

Summer = Butterflies!!!

What a wonderful way to celebrate the first day of summer! We have been learning about the life cycle of the butterfly and have been eagerly waiting for the "metamorphosis". We released our painted lady butterflies on June 21st. Bye bye butterfly!!

Our February Fun

February was jam packed with activities. From Groundhog Day to the 100th day of school and a whole lot of love! We'd like to thank all of our awesome parents who came out to help us with the 100's Day Pancake Lunch. It's nice to know the proceeds were sent to a brave little girl who is awaiting surgery. Our thoughts are with her and her family. We hope you enjoy a peek into our very busy classroom!
